Stuart "We" Lawes

RAILWAY SERVICE: 23 years so far, 15 of them in signalling. Started in the Cardiff Cathays C&W stores, then moved into signalling at Lime Kiln, then Rhymney Valley Relief for a short while before moving to Newport Panel in 1998.

HOBBIES/INTERESTS: Skiing, Computing (especially Ebay) and holidays. Recently bought a French cottage for holiday lets. Enjoy cooking (often for the panel crew as well) and red wines.

RAILWAY SERVICE: Joined Spetember 1978 as an Apprentice. Worked in Booking Offices, Customer Relations, Delay Attribution and Control until 2003. Moved to Signalling at Tram Inn 'box, then Little Mill Jnc and now, Newport.

HOBBIES/INTERESTS: Ex Crank (the therapy is still working), Golf and dodgy photographer

RAILWAY SERVICE: Currently 21 years, having worked in Kensington South, North Pole and East Usk Signalboxes. Then as Traincrew Supervisor, Route Controller then back into signalling.

PRIOR TO RAILWAY: Trainee Accountant for 3 years.

HOBBIES/INTERESTS: Railways in general, volunteer work on West Somerset Railway, railway modelling and walking.
